Andrew Kaen aka ReAwakennd
Executive Producer/Event Manager/Principal Organizer and Creator
Andrew Kaen is Executive Producer/Event Manager and Founder/Creator of the Annual World Peace Earth Day Celebration which began in 2007. His passion for bringing people together in community for a good cause is at the heart of his events. He is also the Founder of Planet Heart, an umbrella organization and project under his fiscal sponsor of We, The World, a non profit 501 (c) (3) organization. He was diagnosed with a deadly 3.5 centimeter acoustic neuroma tumor in 2005 that was in his head on top of his brain sharing a blood vessel with his left ear canal, which left him deaf in his left ear post surgery, in addition to damage to the left side of his face, and gave him a very powerful wake-up call to being alive. Being on a spiritual journey since his becoming “Awakened” in 1996 and then after his operation, he found solace in spirituality, oneness and healing and decided to share that with the world, having a burning desire and calling to do annual earth day events merged with the vision of world peace. During a period of time he was channeling powerful Vibrational Healing Poems and music with the theme of peace & the realization of our true potential and is intending on finally publishing his complete poetry book of awakening. Since being Awakened, he is also a Sound Channel Healer with light language, music and chants. Going by the name ReAwakennd Poet, his name is an acronym of his real name Andrew Kaen and defines who and what his life purpose, mission and passion is all about and why he does these events - reawakening to our own truth as human beings helping us all remember and realize "we are all One” and that we need to work together collectively to co-create for a better humanity and world.
Andrew also graduated from LaGuardia HS of Music and the Performing Arts (the school that inspired FAME), and graduated with the likes of many actors and performers including Jennifer Aniston, Changing Faces, Eagle Eye Cherry and Chaz (formerly Chastity, Cher's kid) and Carl Payne was in his homeroom and history class (Cockroach, Cosby Show). He has had a versatile singing background, and was in many choirs since childhood. In High school, he met Whitney Houston with the Gospel Chorus, Michael Jackson appeared in the audience of the acclaimed IS44 choir which started his background in singing, where they were one of 20 choirs around the world for a Simon Bolivar anniversary in Venezuala, made the NY Times and met with Mayor Ed Koch. He was also in a featured prime time tv show, "How To Be A Man" hosted by the late Captain Kangaroo, performing with the late John Denver with the Harlem boys of Choir. Andrew Kaen met Rick Ulfik in the late 1990’s right around the birth of We, The World, and has been a strong supporter, colleague, volunteer and event producer, as well as photographer for many of his events. It was in 2004, that Andrew was one of the co-coordinators for the launch of 11 Days, and he was the principal organizer for a summer benefit that was a pre-curser for the launch in Sept 2004. It was the first time ever that he was a principal organizer, creator, and event manager for this benefit, and after 11 Days launch with premier events that featured Jane Goodall, Marianne Williamson and others, it was in 2006 that I had a burning desire to do an annual earth day gathering and he became my official fiscal sponsor for non-profit status. It has been a privilege and deep honor to have been working with Rick all these years, and his support has been enormous for the inspiration, evolution and birth of this production. Lisa Roma aka Electrik Goddess Orquestra
Lisa Roma is a multi-creative woman and visionary. She is a published writer, poet, editor, graphic artist and photographer. She is a vocalist, songpoet, musician and composer. Her art, writing and music are expressions of her spiritual journey and metaphysical life experiences beginning during childhood. Her songs are divine inspiration, and her visionary mind birthed Creative Women’s Network, in 1980, a multi-creative publishing cooperative, promoting healing, education and empowerment thru the Arts, that she founded and directs. Lisa uses publishing and the Arts as a means to heal, educate and empower, giving voice and venue to the marginalized, voiceless, the oppressed, and those recovering from post traumatic stress. She has an intimate relationship with art, music, dance and the written word, which continue to heal and inspire her.
Lisa originated Electrik Goddess Orquestra, her music vehicle, in 2003, to present her original songs. She has been recording and performing her songs and favorite classics over the past two decades. In 2008, she founded The Half Moon Theatre Company (of Brooklyn) thru which to showcase original musical theatre (while then collaborating with Rob Darnell and his Poetic Notion Chorus.) She is presently working to complete her first original musical theatre project and is seeking funding to help record, produce and bring her projects into local communities for collaborative neighborhood performances thru which to encourage inner peace, community building and literacy thru the Arts.
She is an interfaith minister, ordained in 2007 by author and peace troubadour James Twyman and is a member of his international Beloved Community. She has officiated weddings and is available for all sacred ceremonies. Lisa is an excellent caregiver of the young and elderly; she assists local entrepreneurs with product branding, development, marketing and promotions and event coordination; and is currently an associate editor for NYC Voices, a consumer journal for mental health advocacy. Lisa is working on various writing projects, including her own, and a vicarious, memoir.
Lisa Roma is also a long time supporter of Planet Heart and we appreciate all of her pro bono editing support she has done since the first year, including all of our programs and letters. Christine Marie and Andrew Kaen actually met through Rick Ulfik, which is to no surprise where he met many people throughout many networks and communities, including Rev. Susana Bastarrica, Deborah Moldow, Diane Williams, Paul Sladkus, the late Phil Sauers, and so many more. Christine Marie was one of his original featured artists at his very first annual earth day event April 22, 2007. Christine Marie has appeared so far over 5 times at our celebrations. In 2014, Andrew brought her on board and she became co-producer, co-host, and was a panelist on the peace panel with her peace sisters Susana Bastarrica, Deborah Moldow and SuZen. That year was one of our biggest years with two floors at the Subud Center and she was the initial person that told me to invite Gary Null who became a featured keynote speaker that year. In addition, she did a PSA for the radio for the 8th annual, which was recorded at the studios of Talking Alternative Broadcast and Sam Liebowitz. She also did a PSA for the Vigil that year. Her emotional support helped support Andrew moving out of a smaller venue of 100 seating capacity at the famed META Center NY to a venue that accommodated two floors and 300 people. In 2015, she continued to lend her support as a co-producer and co-hosted for the second time with Alan Steinfeld. She performed and debuted with her band iMov n da Peazkeepahz. Now, in 2024 she has stepped up again, to co-host, co-produce, perform and also be the Creative Director for Planet Heart's 2024 event.

Rev. Susana Bastarrica is the founder and director of the annual Vigil for Peace and Ecology. She has been a long time colleague of mine and we both have supported our peace events. I have attended many of her vigils and taken photos. In 2014, I joined her peace producing team, and assisted in promotions where I got her interviewed with Kathryn Davis, host of Heart of Mind Radio and Sam Liebowitz of Talking Alternative Broadcast. She in return brought her entourage team, to our 8th Annual at Subud Center to volunteer and support, as well as support the Vendor Room, where she donated a table to help support the costs of the venue. At the 9th Annual, we also had a few of her team members help out at the event as volunteers. Thank you Susana!
Long Time Supporters of Planet Heart Annual Gatherings
Jodi Serota, the Owner and Creator of the META Center NY, Metaphysical Educator, Artist, Vibrational Healer and Channel, has been a huge support for us since the beginning. In 2017 and 2018, she was a Co-Producer with me helping me create and produce it. When the Annual Event was born in 2007, Andrew Kaen was working at the META Center. Jodi was one of the original featured presenters with Phil Gruber in the first event which took place at the KRAINE Theatre. Every year, from 2008 through 2013, the annual celebration was taking place in her large conference room at the META Center, and we were extremely happy and honored to have the growth of this project take place originally there before we began our venture to have a larger venue last year. Jodi has also been instrumental in offering advice, support, and consultation each year, in addition to being a outreach partner /cosponsor. She would announce our events at her events. Andrew Kaen met her and many others including Alan Steinfeld and Tricia McCannon in 1997 at the NEW LIFE EXPO. Jodi has repeatedly offered great support and advice over the years for Andrew.

Andrew Kaen met Lygia sometime in the late 1990s at “Rites of Spring: Procession to Save Our Gardens” and have become close colleagues and friends ever since. We go back way before Andrew brought her on to his earth day events. He has always been feeling very connected with the First Peoples and indigenous cultures and when Andrew began this event I could not fathom doing it without them being represented significantly. So he went to Lygia the first production to bring her indigenous brothers and sisters, and the first year was the most Elders, which included the late Mother Jordan, who was a very important person in the communities and became blind in her elder years. We did a second night event just with the Messages from the Elders in 2007. The following year, in 2008, we showed the Sacred Run with Andrea Sadler, had a circle, and Grandmother Lygia was there to support with her Elders. 2012 was a very significant year with the Mayan Calendar ending, so he consulted Lygia and we both produced that year's 3 day Elders gathering, which the final day was at the META Center. It was a very diverse rich gathering, and it was recorded by Activist Nation. A two hour edit is available for sale on a DVD, you can find on this website. 2015 was Lygia's 5th appearance in our program. In 2014 she was on the Earth Panel, and last year she shared her message to the community. She was instrumental in her participation and support from 2007-2015. In 2015, Alan Steinfeld, Host and Producer of New Realities TV made his sixth appearance as MC/Host and also has not appeared back with us since then. He co-hosted the first Annual Celebration in 2007, and hosted almost every year, up to and including the 9th Annual. His support and love for this project and wanting to be part of what has become the largest NYC spiritual conscious earth day community gathering has been really terrific. He is one of many long time supporters and we were happy to have him host the years he hosted. He hosted in 2015 alongside Christine Marie. Thanks Alan! He was the influence and cause for us having David Young and Grandmother Barbara Three Crow join us for the 9th Annual. Alan is a great friend, and colleague.

Andrew Kaen met Bruce Grodner years ago, around 2000-2001 in the subway platform of the 1 train at West 168th Street. It is a funny story he always tells people. Andrew saw his world peace sign, said, "hey, that's me!" and they became friends and colleagues for life. He was a featured speaker at our 5th Annual, and also gave a plaque to Andrew Kaen for Ambassador for Peace with Grandmother Lygia. He has been a long time supporter since the first annual, and has often volunteered bringing water. We were at 4 West 43rd Street with the Elders in 2012, and got that venue through him. Bruce is a great pastor, speaker, father and friend.
Andrew met renowned clairvoyant, historian and author Tricia McCannon in 1997 also at the New Life Expo where he met Jodi Serota, Alan Steinfeld and so many others. They have remained close friends and colleagues, and since 2008, with Alan, Andrew has been her NYC coordinator for when she comes to town and speaks as well as gives privates. He was in touch with her when she was in "a cave" writing her last book on Jesus: The Explosive Story of the 30 Lost Years and the Ancient Mystery Religions, and she acknowledged him in her acknowledgement section. One of her books was released "Return of the Divine Sophia: Healing the Earth through the Lost Wisdom Teachings of Jesus, Isis and Mary Magdelene." In past years, she helped Andrew with her constant contact, to make a pretty email to send out to his list and has always been supportive of his work. She lives in Atlanta, and is founder of the Phoenix Fire Lodge Mystery School, been on over 175 radio and tv interviews worldwide, and has given over 6000 readings. Paul Sladkus, host, founder and producer of Good News Broadcast now called Good News Planet, has been with us since the very beginning too. He co-hosted the first annual with Alan Steinfeld, sharing the 5 hour gathering. He also appeared at most of the gatherings, and appeared as a special guest several times. In 2014's 8th Annual, he was moderator for the world peace panel, that featured SuZen, Susana Bastarrica, Deborah Moldow, Christine Marie, and Laurelle Rethke, with Jon Connors and Kiril Ravensong. Every year he is a media sponsor as well, and we have been long time colleagues for a very long time as well supporting each other. Kathryn Davis, Host and Executive Producer of Heart of Mind Radio on WBAI and PRN.fm, has been a staple with us and our biggest media sponsor since the very first year. She actually spoke at our historic first annual celebration, where we also raised close to $100 in charity for WBAI, and in 2014 she had a table on our vendor floor. Every year, we go on her show live, often more than once, with Rick Ulfik and special guests each year that are speakers and performers for that year. We also get a PSA done, and she helps make sure it gets up and heard throughout WBAI, even since the overhaul and changes that took place. She is also a gifted Qigong teacher. We are excited to be back in the saddle again, and to ride the mothership with her to publicize our 9th anniversary, and 10th annual celebration. Mitchell Rabin, host and producer of A Better World, has also been a long time supporter, friend and colleague for Planet Heart. He has been a host many times replacing Alan Steinfeld and was the host every year from 2018-2023, and in 2015 he was the moderator for the Earth Panel. Maryanne Savino was part of our annual gatherings 3x which included both her sound healing and sacred dancing, and has been a supporter of our events every year, during the years especially when we were at the META Center NY. Maryanne does her own events, with Sanctuary For Harmonic Living and was a partner with us for many years. Her spiritual gifts and skills have healed many people. We appreciate her support.
Sandra Winter has been another long time supporter. Andrew met her years ago at Interfaith Fellowship when it still existed, with Rev. Diane Berke of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary and Jon Mundy of All Faiths Seminary International. Ever since they have remained great friends and colleagues. She is a great sound healer, and singer and has done many circles in the past. At our events, she was one of the original featured speakers from our 1st Annual and also was part of our event at two other gatherings. One time, she offered recycled cards with each showing a different action we can do for the planet. We appreciate her support as well, which still continues leading to our 9th anniversary. Suzen was founder and director of the annual Universal Peace Day, that took place on Aug 5 and 8 for 31 years (the anniversaries of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, to turn war to peace by ringing of the bells worldwide. In 2015, she visited Hiroshima for the 70th anniversary, and Andrew Kaen was the principal organizer and event manager for August 5 which took place at Strawberry Fields that year. SuZen was been a great supporter of our project, and has appeared at a few of our celebrations. Her partner from Universal Peace Day, Barry Gruber's Peacenik's performed, and at the 8th Annual, she was put on the peace panel with Deborah and Susanna and was a speaker for the first time.
Deborah Moldow (former UN Representative for the World Peace Prayer Society) has been with us also since the beginning. In 1997, I attended a World Peace Prayer Society peace gathering in Amenia, NY that featured Jimmy Twyman, and many others. It was amazing. Deborah has appeared as a presenter three times at our annual gathering, once was when we did the world peace flag ceremony. In 2014's 8th Annual, she was on the peace panel. She is the founder and president of a new organization, the Garden of Light.
Sylvia Moss was part of our 7th Annual with Maryanne and made her first appearance with us, but has been a long supporter of our events and is a gifted sound healer, photographer and spiritual teacher, and now currently became an Author of Angels of New York. She is often found by the Crystal Tones at the New Life Expo and does sound healing lectures there.

Master Zen is quite an interesting mind. He has many ideas to help our society with innovative concepts and strategies. His company StarHorizon Media, has been a partner with us since the first year and has been non-stop mutual partnership. His partner is a gifted spoken word artist and he has made two featured appearances in our gatherings and been behind us with outreach and commitment for a better world.

Peter Roth, founder of the Heart River Center for Intuitive Living was also been a supporter and friend of Planet Heart and Andrew Kaen. He also has a radio show ENERGY STEW on prn.fm. He did speak at one of the Annual Celebrations in the early years at the META CENTER.

Laurell Rethke is one of two Laurell's I know now, actually she is friend's with the other Laurell, and it is Laurell Eden who is one of our featured artists this year.
Andrew has known Laurell for many years through different people and events, including another long time supporter, Stephen Popiotek. Her work goes way beyond just selling crystals with her company 5 Sense Healing, she is a real sweetheart, always there to put a smile on her face that brightens other people's days, and is a great speaker and teacher. She was a featured vendor at our vendor room in 2014's 8th Annual and was also on the Peace Panel. In 2015 she was one of only a small selection of vendors in the front of St. Johns Church where we held our event. 
Srikala and his team have been very supportive of our events from 2012-2015.
